I love this time of year!  As a working mommy, I live for the weekends.  Bring on the fun spring events!

Saturday, May 18^th

^9:00 AM – 2:00PM Hampton Bays Schools 6^th Annual Community Pride Day

The day begins at 9:00 with a 5K race, then continues from 10-2 with a spring fair back at the school.  The East End Mommy will be there at the Hampton Bays Mothers Association booth.  Please come by and support our local schools and families!!!!

Over 40 vendors, growers, and producers providing locally grown, caught, and homemade items.

10:00am-4:00pm Bird Festival @Long Island Science Center- Experiments, raffles, and crafts all related to birds, rain date 5/19

$5 admission

5:00pm-10:00pm Summer 2013 Opening of Shuckers

Shuckers is owned by a local family, and is a great place for dining with kids.  Outside eating is always a plus for eating with my toddler, and there is plenty of room to move round if necessary, awesome music, and yummy food and drinks.  Come support our local business community and enjoy the weather!

Sunday, May 19th

10:00am-3:00pm Long Island Steamers First Public Run

I am so excited to participate in one of these runs, see bucket list!  My train loving boy is going to go crazy!!!Ride on train runs go from 10:30-3, tickets are required, donations are accepted.

12:00pm-3:00pm Book Signing Event @Safari Adventure

East end children’s author and radio personality, Lisa A. Dabrowski, will be signing her book Mr. Wooly and Friends in How the Barn Was Painted Purple.  Books will be available for purchase
