Quiche Corner

Each week a new quiche recipe will be added, but (unless noted) it will always follow this basic quiche recipe:
                       
Basic Quiche Recipe:

Ingredients:
5 large eggs
1/2 cup milk or half-and-half
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/8 teaspoon of fresh pepper
1 store bought frozen pie shell (unless you desire a crust less quiche, then omit this)

1. Whip the eggs, milk, and seasoning until the eggs are light and frothy.  
2. Layer meats, veggies, and cheese on top into the pie shell.  Pour egg mixture on top.

3.  Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes (the quiche is done if a knife is inserted in the center and it comes out clean.

Zucchini and Bacon Quiche


Additional Ingredients:
6 strips of bacon, cooked and chopped, reserve drippings
1 zucchini (summer squash) cut up into cubes
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese


Additional Directions:
1. Saute zucchini is the reserved bacon drippings 
2. Continue to follow the Basic Quiche Recipe.
