East End 4th of July Events

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays.  I love the beachy, nautical decorations.  I love the food at all the cookouts.  I love parades, and of course I love fireworks!  Here is the roundup of our area's celebrations.
Tuesday, July 2nd

  • 6:00pm- 11:00pm- Greenport Fourth of July Carnival- Moore's Lane, Greenport
  • 7:00pm-11:00pm- North Sea Fire Department Carnival- North Sea Firemen's Memorial Athletic Field, Noyac Road, North Sea
Wednesday, July 3rd
  • 6:00 pm-11:00pm- Greenport Fourth of July Carnival- Moore's Lane, Greenport
  • 7:00pm-11:00pm- North Sea Fire Department Carnival- North Sea Firemen's Memorial Athletic Field, Noyac Road, North Sea- Fireworks tonight at 10:00pm
  • 6:30pm- The Lone Sharks@ Coopers Beach, Southampton Village- Bring chairs, blankets, and a picnic dinner.
Thursday, July 4th
  • 10:00am- Southampton Independence Day Parade- Main Street and Jobs Lane, Southampton Village
  • 11:00am- WPPB Studio's Post Parade Party- 71 Hill Street, Southampton (behind the movie theater)- food, drink, musicians, face painting, tumble bus, and dunk tank, free admission.
  • 11:00am- Southampton Center's Post Parade Party- 25 Jobs Lane, Southampton- free family party with music, circus performers, a bounce house, face painting, and refreshments.  You must register for this event at www.southamptoncenter.org or 631-283-0967.
  • 12:00pm- 4th of July parade in Southold- Boisseau Avenue to Tuckers Lane, Southold
  • 6:00 pm-11:00pm- Greenport Fourth of July Carnival- Moore's Lane, Greenport- Fireworks tonight at 10:00pm
  • 6:00pm-11:00pm- Peconic Bay Medical Center Family Festival- 6164 Route 25A, Wading River
  • 6:30pm-10:00pm- Independence Day Celebration- Peconic Riverfront, Downtown Riverhead- Performance by Brady Rymer, stilt walkers, face painting, Fireworks at 9:15pm.
  • 7:00pm-11:00pm- North Sea Fire Department Carnival- North Sea Firemen's Memorial Athletic Field, Noyac Road, North Sea
  • 9:00pm- Westhampton Beach Fireworks- Westhampton Country Club- Though the club is a private event, fireworks are visible throughout the village
  • 9:00pm- Stars Over Montauk  Fireworks, Umbrella Beach, 108 S. Emerson Avenue, Montauk
Friday, July 5th
  • 6:00 pm-11:00pm- Greenport Fourth of July Carnival- Moore's Lane, Greenport
  • 6:00pm-11:00pm- Peconic Bay Medical Center Family Festival- 6164 Route 25A, Wading River
  • 7:00pm-11:00pm- North Sea Fire Department Carnival- North Sea Firemen's Memorial Athletic Field, Noyac Road, North Sea
  • 9:00pm- Southampton Fireworks- These are set off from a private residence, but are over Shinnecock Bay and visible from Coopers Beach, and the inlet. 
Saturday, July 6th
  • 6:00 pm-11:00pm- Greenport Fourth of July Carnival- Moore's Lane, Greenport. Fireworks at 10:00pm.
  • 4:00pm-9:00pm- Peconic Bay Medical Center Family Festival- 6164 Route 25A, Wading River. Fireworks at 9:00pm.
  •  7:00pm-11:00pm- North Sea Fire Department Carnival- North Sea Firemen's Memorial Athletic Field, Noyac Road, North Sea-Fireworks at 10:00pm.
  • 9:00pm- Amagansett Fireworks- Devon Yacht Club, Amagansett- private club, but visible from Fresh Pond Beach.
  • 9:00pm- Riverbed Raceway Fireworks- 1797 Old Country Road, Riverhead
  • 9:30pm- Sag Harbor Fireworks- Sag Harbor Yacht Club- private club, but visible from Havens Beach, Marine Park, Long Wharf, or the harbor.
Sunday, July 7th
  • 2:00pm-7:00pm- Peconic Bay Medical Center Family Festival- 6164 Route 25A, Wading River.
  • 7:00pm-11:00pm- North Sea Fire Department Carnival- North Sea Firemen's Memorial Athletic Field, Noyac Road, North Sea
Saturday, July 13th
  • 9:00pm- Shelter Island Fireworks- Crescent Beach, Shore Road, Shelter Island.
Saturday, July 20th
  • 9:15pm- The Great Bonac Fireworks Show- Three Mile Harbor Road, East Hampton. Visible from the beaches of Maidstone Park, Sammy's Beach, Gann Road, Hands Creek Road.
