Top Weekend Picks

Well, I think Friday and Saturday might end up being a washout.  I’m hoping they’re not, but if they are, it’s a perfect time to look into our local indoor activities.  Experience nature indoors at the aquarium in Riverhead, the Long Island Science Center in Riverhead, or the South ForkNatural History Museum in Bridgehampton.  Experience and create art at Hamptons Art Space in Hampton Bays or TheParrish Art Museum in Water Mill.  Get active indoors at Safari Adventure in Riverhead.  Here are some more indoor activities for Friday and Saturday:

Friday

10:30 am- Start your weekend of right with a workout!  Check out Baby Boot Camp in Southampton.  This is a great way to get fit, while still being with your child.  Classes are held rain or shine at First Presbyterian Church of Southampton.

6:00pm-7:30pm- Pizza and Pajamas!  What a great way to enjoy a rainy night.  Come to CMEE in your pajamas. Eat pizza, hear a story, and do an art activity.  This event is for all ages with caregivers.

Saturday

10:00 am Funtastic Science Class at CMEE- This is the start of a 4 week class for ages 2 and up at CMEE.  Each week is a different theme.

10:00 am Shark Dissection at SoFo- So sad JJ is too young for this one, because this is right up my husband’s alley.  Ages 8 and up can join the SoFo staff for a spiny dogfish dissection.

2:00pm Storytime Yoga- A rainy day is a good day for a story and yoga.  The class is a Kamadeva Kids in East Hampton for all yogis walking to age 6.

Sunday

I’m banking on the weather being nice today!!!!  I really hope it is because I want to head to the Long Island Steamers Public Run Day!!

10:30- 3:00 Long Island Steamers Public Run – Southaven Park, Brookhaven

1:00- 4:00 Kickoff to Summer with Riverhead Town- Celebrate the summer and check out Riverhead Town’s summer programs at Stotsky Park in Riverhead.  There will also be refreshements and entertainment.
